Hi! I’m Prithika.
I am an incoming Ph.D. student in Statistics at UC Berkeley starting in Fall 2026. My current interests include: interpretable machine learning, uncertainty quantification (e.g., conformal prediction & probabilistic forecasting), and statistical inference (selective/post-selection inference).
Previously, I graduated in 2026 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) with a double major in Statistics and Computer Science along with a minor in Business Administration. At UNC, I was fortunate to work with Drs. Chudi Zhong and Serhan Ziya. In summer 2025, I interned at Oliver Wyman, where I worked on developing a probability of default model to assess counterparty risk for an equity derivatives clearinghouse. In my free time, you can find me singing, doing pottery, playing the flute, or taking long walks outside.
I am passionate about supporting junior students and underrepresented groups in STEM, particularly women in statistics/math/computer science. If I can be of any help to you, please feel free to reach out via email to chat about grad school applications, careers, research, etc.
